Sunoco will serve as a primary sponsor on Alpha Prime Racing’s No. 45 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series car piloted by Lavar Scott for 10 races in 2026, the team announced on X on March 17.
The first scheduled race is this weekend at Darlington Raceway on Saturday, March 21. The announcement does not specify the other scheduled races this season.

Scott currently sits 24th in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver standings with 60 points. Scott is full-time and has competed in all five O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races so far in 2026 and has recorded a best finish of 16th at Daytona International Speedway.
2026 is Scott’s rookie season in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series; he previously raced in the ARCA Menards Series from 2023 to 2025, running 46 races where he earned 26 top fives and 36 top 10s.
