Max Reaves secured the fast lap in qualifying for Saturday’s (March 28) for the Cookout 200. He will lead the field at Hickory Motor Speedway in the first race of the ARCA Menards Series East Series season. Reaves also posted the fastest lap time in practice.
This is not unfamiliar territory for Reaves, as he won three poles in the East Series last season. In each race in which he won the pole, he also led the most laps and won the race.

Reaves was able to outpace Derek Kneeland, driving the No. 28 for Pinnacle Racing Group, who will join him on the front row. Lining up in row two is Nick Tucker and Connor Hall. Landon S. Huffman rounds out the top five.
Reigning East Series Champion Isaac Kitzmiller starts in sixth. Tristan McKee, Dystany Spurlock, George Siciliano and Quinn Davis fill out positions sixth through 10th to complete the top 10.
Brad Smith will not be running tonight’s race, leaving the field with 23 entries.
