It was not easy for Tyler Reddick after starting on pole, but at the end of the day, speed prevailed.
Reddick battled battery issues and a malfunctioning cool suit to win the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday (March 22) for his fourth win in the first six races of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season.
It is Reddick’s first win at the track after three previous runner-up finishes. This win gave 23XI Racing the most wins it’s ever had in a season with four, and there’s still 30 more races left in the season.

NASCAR Points Standings After Darlington
“I know never to give up,” Reddick told FOX Sports. “… We’ve been so close so many times (at Darlington). I’m just really proud of everybody, and it’s cool to give Bossman (Michael Jordan) his fourth win of the year.”
Brad Keselowski finished second after sweeping the stages and leading a race-high 142 laps, but Reddick got around him with 28 laps to go.
“All in all, a great day for us,” Keselowski said. “We won two stages, led a lot of laps, scored a bunch of points. A lot to be proud of.
“We just need a little pace. The team is executing really well. All three of our RFK [Racing] cars are executing really well and getting good finishes. Need a little bit of pace, and we can win these races.”
Ryan Blaney, Carson Hocevar and Austin Cindric completed the top five. Ty Gibbs, Daniel Suarez, William Byron, Chris Buescher and Erik Jones finished in the sixth-to-10th spots.
Buescher led 41 laps and was passed by Keselowski right before the last pit cycle of the race. But Buescher got hit in the rear by Reddick while slowing down to come to pit road, causing the No. 17 to hit the outside wall. Buescher’s team took blame for the contact, as they did not signal to Reddick that he was coming to the pits.
Chase Briscoe fell out of the top 10 in the final laps after making contact with Riley Herbst, coming home in 12th place.
Bubba Wallace started on the outside row and showed early speed, scoring the Xfinity Fastest Lap award, but fell back into traffic after a slow pit stop. Then, he was collected in an incident involving Jones and Denny Hamlin, which damaged his car. Wallace finished 34th, five laps down.
Reddick boosted his lead in the standings up to a 95-point gap over second-place Blaney after six races in the 2026 Cup season.
Darlington Cup Series Results
The NASCAR Cup Series will return to action next Sunday, March 29, at Martinsville Speedway for the Cook Out 400. It will be the seventh race of the season, and coverage will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.

Pretty good race overall. The broadcast wasn’t too bad, but it doesn’t usually bother me as much as it does some people. Still, it seems like the Fox people are just really really wanting to make the nickname “Hurricane” stick for Carson Hocevar? They keep saying it but it just sounds forced.
Whoops, didn’t mean to put a ? at the end of the sentence about the Hurricane nickname lol
Enjoyed it as well.
I’ve noticed the same with “Hurricane” Hocevar. It’s an OK nickname, but not one I think is good enough to warrant forcing it, as you noted.
