Garrett Mitchell, better known as YouTuber Cleetus McFarland, will look to make his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut with Richard Childress Racing this season, the team announced March 4.
He is slated to drive the No. 33 at Rockingham Speedway in the first of a three-race deal.
The car will have backing from Tommy’s Express Car Wash.

“To have the opportunity to make my NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut with a legendary race team like Richard Childress Racing is a dream come true,” Mitchell said in a team release. “It’s a huge honor, and I am incredibly grateful to learn under the leadership of Richard Childress, Mike Verlander, Danny Lawrence and everyone in Welcome, North Carolina.
“Having Tommy’s Express on board for my debut makes it even more special. They’re a fast-forward brand that understands speed, performance, and connecting with people, which lines up perfectly with everything we are trying to accomplish.”
Mitchell made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. He has competed part time in the ARCA Menards Series since 2025.
The locations of his other two starts were not revealed in the release.

So someone hailie deegan gets critizised for maybe being promoted according to some people, but someone like garrett mitchell has no experience in oreilly series get promoted with only one truck race most female drivers spend multiple years in arca if they even get a chance in trucks or oreilly series, hypocritical double standard, shameful, cowardice,gutless and sad
While I don’t usually bite on these comments, in this instance, I have to agree. This kid has no experience (6 laps in a truck if you count the debacle at Daytona) and is put in the 2nd tier Nascar series? Apparently all it takes to get your own ride is set up a youtube page and get lots of followers. Who cares about driving ability. Its sad that good drivers can’t get rides, but this guy can. So much for the “best drivers in the world” they keep talking about.
