Happy Hour: A Record Start, Street Trucks, Garage Chaos & More Lawyers

Michael Massie

March 3, 2026

On this week’s episode of Frontstretch Happy Hour, hosts Bryan Nolen, Michael Massie and Dalton Hopkins are joined by Peter Stratta of TSJSports to talk Tyler Reddick‘s record-setting start to the 2026 NASCAR season.

The four guys predict how much further Reddick’s hot start will go, how many wins he’ll end up with and whether or not he is the championship favorite. The quartet also examine the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ inaugural race at St. Petersburg and discuss whether Trucks should go back there and if any other NASCAR series should join the weekend.

Alex Bowman had to climb out of his No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet midway into Sunday’s (March 1) race, and Myatt Snider drove in his relief. The gang debates what this could do for Snider’s career going forward and whether it would have done even more had Hendrick’s PR made Snider available for interviews after the race.

Last week, as part of the lawsuit of Joe Gibbs Racing vs. Chris Gabehart/Spire Motorsports, comments from Gabehart, the former JGR competition director, were made public in which he spoke poorly of Ty Gibbs and how the No. 54 team is run. Ty Gibbs followed that up with his first top five of the season on Sunday. The four guys weigh in on how JGR is run, how this lawsuit could impact the organization and whether Ty Gibbs will break out this season or not.
